Solo Stove Yukon
Solo Stove Yukon ~ The Centerpiece of Epic Outdoor Gatherings
The Solo Stove Yukon is unlike any other fire pit you’ve ever seen! We have used our same patented technology that has been perfected into a backyard fire pit to be the centerpiece of your outdoor gatherings.
This fire pit is truly beautiful, yet minimalist in design. And it maximizes fuel combustion and air-flow efficiency.
And the best part? It produces nearly no smoke and there is minimal ash left over! So not only is the Yukon easy to clean up, but it won’t leave you smelling like a campfire.
The Yukon is fueled by logs, chunk wood or woody debris, while the air intake holes on the bottom pull air in towards the fuel source. While air is being pulled in, the double-wall construction allows air to be heated up and fed through the top vents, providing an extra boost of pre-heated oxygen. This creates a secondary combustion, producing more heat as well as a beautiful flame that your family and friends will enjoy watching.
The optional stand will allow you to get the most from your Solo Stove Yukon by being able to use it in more places than ever! With ample airflow, the Yukon Stand allows you to use your Yukon on more heat sensitive surfaces.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will My Yukon Be Hot When in Use?
YES! It will be hot! It will be extremely hot! Do not touch any part of the Yukon when in use. Children should always be under parental supervision when around the Yukon. Use common sense and treat the Yukon like any other fire.
How Do I Cook on the Yukon?
The Yukon was not designed with cooking as the main objective. The Yukon is meant to be used as a backyard fire feature. That said, feel free to break out the marshmallows or hot dogs on a stick!
What Types of Wood Do You Recommend Using as Fuel?
Any firewood logs will burn, but for optimum efficiency we recommend dry hardwoods. Hardwoods such as birch, maple, hickory and oak will burn longer than softwoods. Be sure to avoid driftwood as it contains a high concentration of salt that can potentially corrode the fire pit.
How Many Logs Should I Use?
We recommend using 8-10 average size logs. Please do not overfill your Yukon. Keep the fuel below the upper vents. Once you have a hot bed of embers, you can always throw on more logs.
How Do I Clean and Store My Yukon?
After your Yukon is cool, turn it upside down to empty any remaining ashes left in your fire pit. We recommend that you always cover your Yukon when it's not in use. It’s just that easy!
Where Should I Use the Yukon?
Your Yukon works great in a backyard, ranch, or anywhere your group plans to gather. Be sure to only burn the Yukon in a well vented area with no overhang.
Can I Place the Yukon in an Existing Fire Pit?
Yes, however we recommend 4-6 inches of clearance around the unit for proper ventilation.
Does the Yukon Come with a Cover?
No. However, The Yukon Shelter, an all-weather cover, may be purchased separately if you would like to cover your Yukon when it is not in use.
Do I Need to Purchase Any Accessories?
No, your fire pit is ready to use with just wood. If you plan on using the Yukon on sensitive surfaces, consider getting the Yukon Stand to help protect the surface below. And we do offer several other accessories to make your experience even better. See the listing of accessories at the bottom of this page.
What's the Difference Between the Solo Stove Lite, Titan & Campfire vs the Yukon and Other Fire Pits?
The Solo Stove Lite, Titan and Campfire are more portable backpacking and camping stoves meant for cooking. The Yukon is the largest of our backyard fire pits and was designed to accommodate larger groups who enjoy sitting around a beautiful, smoke free flame.
