Light a Fire Anywhere, Anytime, In Any Weather

InstaFire Fire Starter Is the Safest, Easiest, & Most Reliable Way to Light a Fire!

For those who need a reliable fire starter, Insta-Fire is without a doubt the safest and most reliable fuel and fire starter on the market.

Propane and liquid fuels are difficult to store and unsafe to use. They also degrade over time, and they are subjected to city storage ordinances because of their volatile nature.

By contrast, Insta-Fire is stable; it is not volatile. There are no risks of unexpected fires or flare-ups, and as an added bonus, Insta-Fire is made of all-natural ingredients that are so safe, they can be used in a fire place, fire pit, or on any outdoor adventure.

InstaFire’s leftover ash is a natural fertilizer and will nourish the earth when done.

One of the main ingredients is a volcanic rock that is naturally insulated and will burn on top of snow or ice.

Our InstaFire Fire Starter is the perfect companion for those who love the outdoors and want a fire while backpacking, snowmobiling, hiking, camping or even to store for emergency preparedness.

Make sure you put InstaFire into one pile and put it under whatever you are trying to light, being careful not to smother your fire.

A 1/2-Cup portion will burn for 10 to15 minutes when stirred occasionally. InstaFire also burns at nearly 1000 degrees so it will dry out your wet wood. Once it is lit, it will sustain winds of 20 to 30 MPH. InstaFire is less dense than water and so it will literally float and burn right on water.

InstaFire is available in a variety of convenient packaging options to accommodate your every firestarting need.

The two- and five-gallon buckets are resealable, keeping your firestarter safe from pests and protected from the elements, as well as ensuring a long shelf life (up to 20 years).

Compared to similar fuels and fire starters, Insta-Fire out-performs, out-protects and out-lasts all others.

What Is InstaFire?

InstaFire is a patented blend of volcanic rock, wood pellets, and paraffin wax. Our patented formula makes InstaFire the ideal fire-starter for use in even the most adverse conditions like rain, snow, or high winds.

InstaFire Fire Starter can be used as a stand-alone fire for cooking, or as a quick and easy-to-use firestarter to light wood for your campfire … even wet wood. InstaFire lights quickly, and burns at nearly 1,000° F, so it will dry out your wet wood.

How much fire does InstaFire produce?

One-half cup of InstaFire (the amount in one single-use pouch) will produce a flame that is approximately 8-12 inches high, and will burn for 10-15 minutes depending on conditions.

For a longer burn time, simple add more InstaFire. Or use InstaFire to ignite wood (even wet wood) to quickly build a campfire for cooking at your campsite or in your fireplace or charcoal grill.

Can I use InstaFire in my fireplace or wood-burning stove?

Yes. InstaFire is safe so you can use it in your fireplace or wood-burning stove. It will light similarly to a candle, with no flareups, and it will gradually grow in intensity to easily dry out wet wood and create the proper draw up your chimney or flue.

InstaFire is NOT a combustible, therefore there is no explosive hazard. And the leftover ash is a natural fertilizer, and makes an excellent compost for your garden and plants.

For a longer burn time, simple add more InstaFire. Or use InstaFire to ignite wood (even wet wood) to quickly build a campfire for cooking at your campsite or in your fireplace or charcoal grill.

Will InstaFire boil water, and can I use it for cooking?

Yes. One half cup of InstaFire Fire Starter will boil 2 cups of water in 15 minutes or less. (We recommend using a lid on your pot for faster boiling times.)

It is also safe to cook food using InstaFire, as there are no hazardous materials or vapors. One cup of InstaFire will burn for 20 to 30 minutes, at nearly 1000° F. Just be sure to allow adequate ventilation to the flame, and occasionally stir the InstaFire as it’s burning.

Does InstaFire work if it gets wet?

Yes. The paraffin wax substance is water-resistant, and InstaFire will work if it gets wet. In fact, it will even float, and burn right on the water.

Can I extinguish InstaFire and then re-use it?

Yes. You can smother the fire, and the re-use the InstaFire at a later time.

Does InstaFire work in the wind, or will it blow out?

When you first light InstaFire, you should shield it from the wind for the first 20 to 30 seconds, as it begins to light. However, once it is lit, InstaFire will burn in winds upwards of 30 MPH.

If my fire is going out, can I add more InstaFire?

Yes. You can add more InstaFire to any fire. Just be careful not to smother the flame when pouring. If you do, simply relight the InstaFire.

What is the best way to store InstaFire?

A cool, dry place is best, but you can store your InstaFire anywhere that is less than 150° F. At 160°, the paraffin in it will begin to melt.

Additionally, InstaFire can be safely stored right next to food.

Does InstaFire have an odor?

Yes, there is an odor. For our Fire Starter and Emergency Fuel we use pine, aspen and fir wood pellets. These create a lovely pine scent, similar to a camp fire. There is also a slight odor from the paraffin wax substance, much like a candle burning.
